Transglobal underground
Tuup is the lead singer, percussionist and lyrisist of Transglobal Underground
London based group mixing indian, arabic, african and popular contemporary music with a reggae and techno expression. In 2008 they won the BBC Radio 3 Award for World Music after the release of their seventh official album, Moonshout. Their most recent release is a collaboration with Albanian brass band Fanfara Tirana entitled 'Kabatronics' which was released on World Village Records in February 2013. Their work has been described as "a collision of tradition and innovation."

FUNDAMENTAL (NATION RECORDS)
Fundamental is a british based band born out of Ladbroke Grove London from a record Company named Nation Records which Transglobal Underground were signed to. Tuup delivered a spoken word track on one of fundamental albums taken from an indian film.

London Zulu is a collaborative album produced by Transglobal Underground. Doreen Thobekile has been a long life friend of Tuup by they travel to South Africa together and Tuup was introduced to Yvonne Chaka Chaka, a diva of South African Music. Doreen Thobekile and Tuup have also collaborated on storytelling project. One of Tuup’s favorite track is « he say, she say ».

One of the first band that Tuup started to play with from an early age of 15 was Keith Waithe Band. Keith Waithe has been an inspiration to Tuup and his development in music as he’s a fellow guyanese artist and along with otherS guyanese artistS, thinkers, social activists, poets like Mark Mathews, Johnny Edgard, Jessica and Eric Huntley and others who have helped to form Tuup’s artistic outlook.

YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA
in the mid 2000, Tuup met Yvonne Chaka Chaka an internationally recognised and highly respected South African singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, humanitarian and teacher. Tuup collaborated with her on a track from one of her album.
